Freshman F-C Darrell Arthur may emerge as the main man for KU. Josh McRoberts will be counted on to deliver an all-around game for Duke, and use his explosive ability around the rim. 2007 NCAA Football Heisman's Trophy
Winning the Heisman Trophy does not guarantee a college football player a long and successful pro career, although every football player would love the bronze statue displayed on their mantle. Even if they do not have a successful career, they could use it like O.J. did as collateral to help pay off civil penalties.
NCAA Football: Some Early Observations
LSU: With all the talk about Urban Meyer going to Florida and the "ballcoach" at South Carolina, not many folks are talking about Les Miles coming over from Oklahoma State replacing Nick Saban at LSU. Throw in the fact that unheralded Bo Pelini is running the defense there now, this team could sneak up on some people even though they are the best in the SEC West.
College Football Top 25
Recently the AP Top 25 was released for the upcoming 2006 college football season. There were a few surprises, but it was solid overall. The rankings, which we'll go over in a moment, will likely change after week one. Two of the big teams in this ranking?Ohio State and Texas?go at it in week two on September 9. Last year's meeting between these two teams was monumental and perhaps decided the national championship. Had Texas lost that game, most of the country would not be as familiar with Vince Young.

"At no time was Fork Union on a 'not cleared' list," explained Kevin Lennon, NCAA Vice President for Membership Services in a statement released today.
