NCAA Tournament Ramps Up and TicketCity.com is Ready to Sell Tickets

Austin, TX (PRWeb) March 16, 2007 -- The NCAA Tournament kicks off on Thursday with games in Buffalo, Lexington, Winston-Salem and Sacramento. Friday sees games in Chicago, Columbus, New Orleans and Spokane. TicketCity.com has tickets in all cities for all games.

"The fourth seed Texas Longhorns will start in Spokane on Friday against somewhat mismatched 13th seed New Mexico State," says TicketCity.com CEO Randy Cohen. "But this is the national championship tournament, so anything can happen."

By Sunday, the 64 teams entering the tournament will be whittled down to 16, as the teams advance into their regional games. San Antonio hosts the Regionals for the South and, assuming they get past Penn in the first round and the winner of the Louisville/Stanford first round winner, Texas A&M will be there.

"We're really rooting for the Aggies over here at Ticket City. It's great to see so many good Texas teams in the tournament," adds Cohen.
On March 31st, the final four teams resulting from the two games Regionals will meet in Atlanta in the Georgia Dome. And on April 2nd, those resultant winners duke it out for the ultimate title.

Those interested in purchasing tickets, including those to any First/Second round, Regional, Final Four or championship games, should call (800) SOLD-OUT or go online to www.TicketCity.com to reserve their seats.

Should There Be A Play-Off In NCAA Football?
There are many differences in the NCAA football and NFL football. For one, the rules are totally different in college football than the NFL. In the NFL, when a player catches a ball, he must have both feet in bounds, yet in college football, it?s only necessary for them to have one foot in bounds. That is certainly a big difference, especially when players from the NCAA have to adjust how they play after being drafted into the NFL. Another major different in the two types of football is when there is a pass interference. In the NCAA, it would be considered a fifteen-yard penalty, but in the NFL, the players are penalized from the spot of the foul.

Winning the Heisman Trophy does not guarantee a college football player a long and successful pro career, although every football player would love the bronze statue displayed on their mantle. Even if they do not have a successful career, they could use it like O.J. did as collateral to help pay off civil penalties.
